Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Business Analytics is responsible for managing key client relationships by maintaining regular communication through project meetings, face-to-face visits, and continuous interaction via email and phone. This role also involves managing and motivating the Business Analyst team, fostering a culture of collective responsibility and accountability. The Senior Manager works closely with team members to set personal goals, provide training opportunities, and perform performance evaluations.
As a subject matter expert, the Senior Manager supports the Data Ventures development team by defining client business requirements for both existing and new solutions. They also extract and interpret data using proprietary tools to perform detailed analysis, including forecasting, assortment optimization, promotion effectiveness, and loyalty analytics. This requires developing insightful presentations for clients that drive actionable results. Additionally, the Senior Manager identifies gaps in solutions and works to enhance company offerings based on business needs and current capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage key client relationships. Establish and maintain good communication and relationships by conducting weekly project meetings, coordinating periodic face-to-face visits and continuous email and phone interaction.
- Manages, monitors and motivates the Business Analyst team and empowers the next generation of servant leaders. Build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability. Work with individual team members to determine personal goals and areas of desired improvement. Assist team members in obtaining training and experience in skills that have been mutually agreed upon as beneficial to the individual and the company. Perform performance evaluations and set goals and objectives.
- Act as subject matter expert to Data Ventures development team by defining client business requirements for existing and new solutions and coordinating efforts through the development cycle.
- Extract and interpret data/insights using Data Ventures' proprietary tools and analytical modules and perform in-depth analysis including forecasting analytics, assortment optimization, promotion effectiveness, out-of-shelf insights, loyalty analytics and custom scorecards.
- Analyze and develop insightful presentations for assigned clients that lead to actionable results.
- Determine solution gaps that may need to be developed to enhance company offerings based on business knowledge and current developed solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Highly analytical, a self-starter, a thought leader, an excellent communicator, analytically curious, possess a passion for data and insights, and a strong math proficiency
- Experienced in predictive forecasting techniques and analysis
- Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledgeable in SQL, Alteryx, Spotfire, Tableau, Linux, Agile
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
- 7+ years of business and technical experience
- 5+ years management experience

- Business, Finance or related field
