Job Overview

The Learning and Development Manager will support our onboarding strategy by ensuring new teammates receive comprehensive and engaging onboarding experience, setting them up for success in their role within our organization. This position will have a heightened focus on onboarding for all Sales roles within the organization. This position is responsible for the coordination, presentation, and monitoring of Coca-Cola Consolidated’s Onboarding and Sales Capabilities programs. The Learning and Development Manager is expected to facilitate our Onboarding and Sales Capabilities classes and must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups. This individual will help drive company values and philosophy and ensure all onboarding activities are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision. This role will be based in Charlotte, NC.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all Onboarding and Sales Capabilities training materials are accurate, up-to-date and in compliance with company standards. 
  • Collaborate with the business to develop, maintain, implement, and evaluate new teammate onboarding resources tailored to role specific training.
  • Design training modules, materials, and resources related to Onboarding and Sales Capabilities.
  • Work closely with our Talent Systems team to build and update learning programs.
  • Act as a point of contact for questions and concerns as it relates to teammate onboarding and Sales Capabilities.
  • Continuously analyze and enhance role-specific onboarding processes based on feedback and data.
  • Support teammates and leaders in the field through shadow days known as RED Rides to ensure teammates and leaders have the support, knowledge, and skills needed to onboard with excellence.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Sales Experience - minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a customer-facing sales role within a similarly situated industry (i.e., consumer packaged goods).
  • Learning and Development Experience - Knowledge of Adult Learning Styles with a focus on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs; knowledge of eLearning and training mediums.
  • Facilitation Experience - Comfortable facilitating training content to varying sizes of audiences but in-person and virtually; asks probing questions, provides feedback, and adjusts facilitation style in-the-moment based on learner's needs to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Organizational Skills - Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects, quickly mediate between competing priorities, prioritize work and practice effective time management with the ability to organize and work effectively with leaders and peers.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally with all levels within an organization.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Ability to develop partnerships and influence effectively across all areas of the organization; effectively manage conflict, coach and counsel for development, and win the trust of others at all levels.
  • Professional Presence - Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor following the company's mission and values.
  • Computer Skills - Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and TEAMs.
  • Capability to learn internal applications as needed.
  • Travel up to 35% of the time across multiple CCCI territories.
  • Physical Effort: Requirements that are normal for an office environment, long periods of standing, working in all elements of weather while conducting.
  • Tools and Equipment - Laptop computer, iPad, and access to selling tools. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School required 2 or 4 year degree preferred
