Job Overview

The Customer Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting a dedicated customer operations team. The primary function of the job is to build manual loads, schedule appointments, validate, approve accessorials, and provide backup to the Customer Operations Planner role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates manual loads in the transportation management system timely and accurately based on the needs outlined by the customer, including but not limited to dunnage to third party vendors, equipment services, shuttles, and all other customer requests that do not get sent electronically
  • Provides backup and support to the Customer Logistics Planner for an assigned region for a dedicated customer account including but not limited to routing of carrier tenders, and the vetting and addressing of customer issues
  • Utilizes the customer’s transportation management system to assign pick-up and delivery appointments that meet on-time delivery and on-time pick-up requirements outlined by the customer and ensures the transportation management system is accurately updated
  • Validates and approves carrier requested accessorial charges and updates information in the appropriate transportation management system; whereby, accessorials include but are not limited to truck order not used, wait time loading, wait time unloading, bobtail, out of route mileage, trailer repositioning, and trailer storage
  • Tracks and traces loads within an assigned region to ensure on-time delivery and provide proactive updates for late loads to the Customer Operations Planner and updates the Transportation Management System to maintain data integrity
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
