Job Overview

The Corporate Quality Engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems and determining corrective actions. This position will work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures and ensure blow molding technology, packaging specifications, and other compliance and standards are continuously met.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the reviewing of codes, specifications, and processes to ensure standardization and compliance with quality regulations
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert and collaborates closely with Engineering and operations teams to execute standards and validations for line extensions
  • Leads the development and implementation of quality control systems
  • Ensures Processing operations meet regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA and TTB regulations and takes immediate corrective action when compliance opportunities are identified
  • Investigates and troubleshoots product or production issues and leads the development of corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance by inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
  • Collaborates with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements and ensures that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
  • Participates in developing and executing long term business goals (3-5 year planning)
  • Creates, standardizes, and implements the Consolidated Management System that ensures compliance to food safety, food quality, environmental and safety regulations. Ensures quality systems and infrastructure to manufacture, distribute and sell products that meets customer requirements and consumer expectations
  • Serves as a quality consultant and coordinator for operations conducted with external organizations and industry partnerships

  • High degree of professionalism/Basic knowledge of and basic skill level in project management/Ability to influence decision making of peers and/or undergraduate degree in Engineering
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Presentation skills, negotiation skills, Facilitating skills/Advanced PC skills/Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and staff
  • Proactive in nature, actively participates and is self-motivated/Encourages and motivates others
  • Continually demonstrates a level of integrity and professional demeanor in keeping with the Company's mission and values
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills/Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • Clearly communicates complex concepts with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to climb stairs and transverse platforms and catwalks as necessary to observe Supply Chain processes in manufacturing and warehouse environments
  • Must be able to safely perform duties in an industrial environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science or related field
  • 1+ years of experience with supply chain project management in a large consumer goods organization
  • ISO, FSMA- Food Safety Modernization Act, HACCP- Hazzard Analysis Critical Control Points, Project Manage (Green Belt), and RCA- Root Cause Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with supply chain project management in a large consumer goods organization

Work Environment

Work environments will vary, including noisy and non-temperature-controlled environments or extreme temperatures.
