Job Overview

Full Time 2nd Shift Dock Lead

Work Schedule: 2pm-10:30pm (Mon-Fri)

The Full-Time Dock Lead will ensure Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals are met for their assigned team of 3-10 Forklift Operators; providing direction of work; guidance, and support to a specific area of responsibility and, or Team as designated by the Warehouse Manager. This role will lead and support both the Outbound loading of completed pallets onto delivery trailers and Inbound receiving operation, inventory location placement, and replenishment.  Additionally, the Dock Lead will provide feedback on performance and assist in interviewing potential candidates as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, assist, and direct activities with Outbound operations to ensure accurate loading of customer orders on delivery vehicles
  • Accountable for the performance of the team they lead
  • Maintain scorecards as well as track and report metrics surrounding productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality
  • Train and lead Outbound, Inbound, and Replenishment teams and evaluate processes striving for continuous improvements
  • Assist in physical manipulation of products within SAP as needed to facilitate the successful resolution of system errors
  • Develop and implement a timeline that the team will use to reach its end goal and communicate identified process improvements with Warehouse Management/Operations, Product Supply Planners, Production Facilities, and other Departments

  • Must have experience in leadership and/or directing or delegating work using independent discretion and judgment based on changing circumstances and/or unexpected events

  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and delegate tasks to others in a noisy and non-climate controlled including high and low-temperature environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs. and up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
  • Ability to understand and comprehend written, verbal, and digital work instructions for each work cell in and around the facility
  • Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities.
  • Flexibility in Scheduling is required as work hours are subject to change based on business demands

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, Triple-Double, Switch Tractor, and Scrubber.

Work Environment

Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment, including  high and low-temperature environment
