Job Description

The Technician – Service 1 is the entry level position to the Service Tech positions responsible for working on various vending/fountain equipment.

What your day will look like:

  • Performing mechanical service on cold drink equipment
  • Installing mechanical components
  • Customer interaction
  • Inventory control
  • Microsoft Office/Mobilizer
  • Maintain Company vehicle
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 0 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Knowledge of Cold Drink Equipment or appliance repair preferred
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, repair manuals and use a Multi-Meter preferred
  • Refrigeration Certification Type 1 preferred
  • Knowledge of Basic Electrical Theory and practical applications
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve to respond and resolve any customer issues
  • Ability to work with all functional team members
  • Customer service oriented
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Frequent sitting
  • Continuous bending, kneeling/squatting, overhead reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, exposure to chemicals and weather
  • Repeated standing, walking, climbing stairs, typing/keyboard, vehicle operation, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying – up to 50 lbs., exposure to water and noise
