Job Description
The Corp Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable is responsible for assisting in the management of the Accounts Payable Team and oversees the daily functions of the department.
What your day will look like:
- Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team and department procedures/processes associated with receiving/imaging/processing/paying vendor invoices
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interviewing, hiring, and training Accounts Payable associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Assist in appraising performance and coordinating with Human Resources as needed
- Builds positive associate morale
- Supervision of staff including payroll, time management, assigning projects, workload
- Coordinating the resolution of aged payables (i.e., overdue invoice workflow)
- Development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to the Accounts Payable Department.
- Testing for Coke One North America (CONA) releases in test environments
- Troubleshooting technical issues in SAP/Hyland/Readsoft and initiating the creation of IT tickets when needed and working with IT for resolution
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies

- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job

- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accounts Payable experience required
- SAP experience preferred
- Microsoft Office knowledge required
- Intermediate Excel experience required
- Management experience required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical, customer service, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment while handling high volumes of data
- Ability to manage projects
- Ability to work with all functional team members
- Continuous sitting and typing
