General Purpose
Responsible for the supervision of the daily operations of the Fleet Maintenance department within the designated area along with ensuring that all Fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately forecasts and manages annual operational budget and parts inventories.
- Empowered to execute purchase decisions in accordance with COA guidelines.
- Consults with Fleet leadership in development of operating and capital budget recommendations.
- Proactively monitors established metrics and employee performance plans on routine basis to ensure the Market Unit data remains on track with the strategic direction.
- Ensures Procurement contract compliance.
- Works as required to execute Public Affairs initiatives.
- Performs regular inspections and audits to ensure assets and technician work products comply with corporate standards and safety expectations.
- Ensures assets are roadworthy and comply with federal DOT (CSA) standards to maintain the company’s social license to operate.
- Works with fleet supervisors and serves as a leader to customers to ensure set policies and asset image and repair standards are maintained.
- Takes leadership role in executing specific departmental goals and continuous process improvement.
- Responsible to ensure team members adhere to established safety policy, training curriculum requirements set by Corporate strategy.
- Responsible to execute service level agreements and provide customer service excellence.
- Manages supplier relationships and operational quality.
- Ensures warranty recovery and works closely with outsource providers as required.
- Oversees clean, organized, safe, and sustainable shop environment.
- Accountable for Target 100 recycle and waste stream compliance processes.
- Directly supervises Market Unit team members.
- Responsible for staffing activities, performance development, associate discipline administration and other Human Resource management tasks for the Market Unit fleet.
- Works closely with Asset Management Team to proactively support customer asset requirement
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Automotive Technology or equivalent concentration.
- 3-5 years demonstrated supervisory experience managing a regional/area fleet and/or supply chain business enterprise.
- Experience managing and forecasting budgets, Business, Asset, Project Management, data analytics and IT proficient.
