General Purpose

The Project Manager, Engineering manages capital execution of projects in Distribution Centers (DC) across Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) in the areas of maintenance, innovation, capability, capacity, and process improvement. Looking specifically for construction project management. The role is responsible for the development of project plans, estimation of costs, coordination of vendors, and execution of project through to start-up at agreed to performance levels (safety, time, cost, etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management 

  • Manage a portfolio of projects (numerous concurrent projects). 
  • Utilize professional project management practices to develop, control, and execute projects.
  • Execute project plans ensuring project scope, timing, and budget goals are met. 


  • Lead the development of annual capital projects list agreeing to projects, priorities, and timing with Sales & Operations Leadership. 
  • Manage regular communication routines with DC and Market Unit VP to insure alignment and awareness. 
  • Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Facilities, Purchasing, Legal, Procurement, Engineering and Operational teams
  • Work with local municipalities, government agencies, and utilities to obtain permits, get designs approved, provide additional water, power, or sewer as required.
  • Develop, scope, cost and timing estimates for the business case development of large projects. 


  • Provide expertise in equipment, and construction to ensure operation efficiencies at operating sites.
  • Lead and facilitate bid reviews and vendor selection.
  • Create specifications and communicate them to manufacturers.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline (Master's in Engineering or Business preferred).
  • 5 year of construction, architecture, engineering, or maintenance experience in the Food Goods industry, preferably in beverages.  
  • 5+ years experience with managing large multi-faceted projects.  
  • Experience with construction on multiple facilities preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD to review designs and scope development
  • Experience developing & manipulating Excel spreadsheets
  • Development of presentations utilizing PowerPoint
  • Experience with Project Planning Tools.
  • Demonstrated management of a portfolio of projects, including responsibility for cost, timing, and delivery of projects.
  • Generate innovative 'out of the box' approaches and improved solutions that help create incremental gains in manufacturing results.
  • Certification in Professional Engineer and/or Certified Project Management 
  • Up to 50% travel
