Supervisor Quality Assurance - Equipment

General Purpose

This position leads CAT1 technicians and quality inspectors who are responsible for key process improvements related to the equipment fulfillment processes including scheduling transportation, quality and improving equipment turn-around time to the field. This position is also responsible for Triage department, Parts room, maintaining relevant compliance requirements, and supporting operational excellence initiatives (e.g. visual management, production expansion, etc.).

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and or exceed completion Targets on CAT1, 2, and 3 production
  • Triage and Parts room execution
  • Warehouse and Make Ready supervisor back up support
  • Performance management on time quality
  • Warranty identification
  • Ensure data integrity, in SAP, as it relates to production processes
  • Perform complex scheduling duties with little supervision and time keeping activities
  • Ensure EFC KPI metrics are met on a monthly/annual basis (Salvage Parts, Warranty, OTS, and other relevant KPI’s)
  • Meet and or exceed CAT1 Productivity standards (OTS Targets)
  • Meet OPEX budget (CPA and Parts)
  • Develop plans to increase productivity and adjust FTE’s as needed
  • Own BTO Process and ensure preparation & configuration on all equipment to meet customer specifications
  • Ownership of Quality department
  • Supervision is provided directly on one shift and/or area
  • Manage the day to day operations of a group of CAT1 and supporting resources, Parts room, and Triage Technicians
  • Responsible for training, coaching and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of HR and or local policies
  • Responsible for execution of processes to ensure KPI goals are met
  • Evaluate CAT1 performance against productivity objectives and IPO’s
  • Lead misc. internal projects (i.e. Safety, 5S)

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 – 7 years of experience quality assurance or equipment services
  • 2 – 3 years in fast paced, customer-oriented environment
  • Equipment service experience preferably in Cat 1
  • Remanufacturing and inventory control
  • SAP
  • Lean Six Signa preferred
  • JDE functional knowledge preferred
