General Purpose

The Sr Procurement Specialist does the analysis and drives cost saving initiatives for CCSWB, as well as looking at financial impacts, pricing, contracts and spend. They are heavily engaged with supplier management and improve flow of materials through the system.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis, development, and implementation of cost savings initiatives.
  • Conduct timely financial and pricing updates.
  • Manage promo/ intro life cycle and spend compliance.
  • Service and quality supplier management through supplier relationship meetings.
  • Implement and continuously improve the flow and consumption of materials and service.
  • Lead sourcing events and development of category strategy for small categories of spend.
  • Compiles and distributes management of change (MoC) ROE documentation for innovation and promotional activity.
  • Plans and manages raw material inventory disposition for VIS updates and redesigns.
  • Represent procurement on planning and leadership calls for new programs, processes, and products.
  • Responsible for all cost liability for promo/ intro raw materials.  Manage to ensure all raw materials are run out for each program.
  • Convert forecasted volumes into raw material orders for all packages included in innovation and promotions based on sourcing and in-market duration.
  • Advise all CCSWB PCs with identifying, disposition, scrapping and billing for all obsolete Innovation/Promo raw materials.
  • Create, maintain, audit all master data relating to promo/ intro raw material and supplier pricing.  Work w/ CCBSS-NAOU-BSNA on BOMs, OA’s & plant extensions.
  • Manage DMR (defective material reporting) database as CCSWB’s Super User.
  • Manage day-to-day RM operations and other initiatives for the three southern CCSWB Production Centers (Houston/Northpoint, McAllen, and San Antonio).
  • Prepare requests for BSNA master data team as needed for all new program raw material extensions, BOM changes, vendor changes, etc.
  • Manage all commemorative 8oz glass requests from CCSWB and B2B customers, working with supplier to deliver the correct artwork, order quantity and delivery timing.
  • Work with Packaging Engineer to specify, plan and execute special projects (lightweighting, palletization, special packaging, conversions, etc…).
  • Manage ZVER material requests and specifications for CCSWB with CONA services.
  • Conduct SRMs (Supplier Relationship Meetings) with each of the three southern Production centers.  These meeting may be in-person on-site at the facility or remote via Teams calls.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with KDP Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing.  Meeting includes CCSWB Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercialization representatives.
  • Create and submit requests for new raw material and full goods codes using SAP/MDG (Material Data Governance).
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred   
  • 2-5 years of analytic, procurement or supply chain experience preferred
  • Analytical Tools experience 
  • Analytic skills and learning agility 
  • Change Management and influencing skills 
  • SAP, BY, Ariba functional skills preferred 
  • Microsoft Office Suite with strong knowledge in MS Excel, databases, etc…
  • Attention to details and 99.9% accuracy in pricing updates 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Customer services focus with great follow-up skills 
  • Knowledge of data analysis methodologies
  • Ability to work independently with solid organizational skills 
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task
