This role develops and manages the digital modes of the supply chain network for CCSWB

  1. Develop and manage the construction and maintenance of the digital models of our supply chain network between the various sites at CCSWB to have the necessary data and information platform in order to analyze, develop and improve the decision making.
  2. Analyze, manage and evaluate the best logistics’ network of Production and Distribution sites at CCSWB to ensure the desired operation and addressing the operational needs in the mid and long term at the lowest possible cost.
  3. Analyze and evaluate different initiatives and projects by the operation to determine the best solution and give relevant information for the decision taking through the simulation of “what if” scenarios that consider CCSWB’s costs and restrictions.
  4. Develop, implement and standardize processes and metrics of the logistical network design to establish it’s capacities, KPIs and procedures of the various business areas.
  5. Investigate, evaluate and manage the acquisition of new tools and technologies for the processes and network simulation to address future asks and requirements for the Supply Chain.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design the structure of the data bases to allow for an effective modelling of the supply chain taking into account processes and distribution network, procurement, production and engineering.
  • Determine and develop the necessary interfaces with the existing IT platforms within CCSWB to automize the gathering of information to built and maintain the models and information data base.
  • Build the base models of the logistics’ network with the use of mathematical models and tools that allow for an agile and reliable information analysis.
  • Validate and check that the results from the models match the real operational results in terms of number of cases, costs, freight, production volume, etc. to ensure the validity of the different scenarios that are to be simulated.
  • Propose and evaluate different scenarios of the logistics’ network that lead to the best total cost of the supply chain considering the process, procurement, logistics, transport and sales areas.
  • Revise, formulate and recommend the optimization of sites that due to their location may be consolidated to optimize and generate value of the company’s assets.
  • Model, simulate and analyze hypothetical scenarios of the logistical network should a new business be incorporated to establish synergies opportunities due to growth and or savings.
  • Evaluate, from a financial point of view, logistical network initiatives to determine the viability of these.
  • Analyze and determine the best location for the acquisition and construction of new infrastructure (incl. production lines, real estate, production plants and DC locations) to ensure the lowest logistical network costs.
  • Analyze and determine the necessity of the primary transportation fleet for the infrastructure and HR requirements to answer the market needs.
  • Analyze and optimize the inventory levels to minimize used capital while complying with our planned service levels.
  • Develop and establish de design and analysis processes of the logistical network to facilitate, enable and standardize the practices and activities for the creation of value adding projects
  • Design and implement the KPIs to measure and compare in a standardized manner the performance of the different locations (example. Cost per case, warehouse utilization, etc.)
  • Develop the necessary processes and guidelines to standardize design criteria to replicate the best practices among the locations.
  • Provide the tools and develop the technical capabilities for responsible users of the logistical network’s processes that aim at the development of activities and information that facilitate the modelling of profitable projects.
  • Know and evaluate available network modelling technologies for the improvement of the supply chain operations.
  • Participate in technological innovation projects together with other areas that permit the continuous improvement and the up to date maintenance of the logistical network processes to stay aligned with the company’s strategies.
