IT Solution Architect - Warehouse & Distribution

General Purpose

This role has responsibility to design, develop, implement and maintain the information technology systems for Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages’ Warehouse & Distribution Business areas. Translates Business requirements and provides recommendations for changes that may involve custom design to enhance existing technology solutions, and which may also include the deployment of third-party technology products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems supported Business processes. Recommends or performs configurations, training and testing activities as required. Consults and advises on technology changes that will impact work process, and recommends corrective/preventive actions required to effectively manage change. Complies with established IT standards and best practices.

  • This includes cross-functional review and fit/gap assessment of all requirements, ensuring alignment of architecture solutions across all relevant Business process areas.
  • The incumbent must have the ability to manage multiple IT initiatives within their functional/technical areas.
  • This role will have the ability to create, champion, and drive the development and deployment of new technology solutions and services that align with agreed strategy and destination architecture guiding principles.
     

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Business IT requirements focusing on warehouse systems and associated distribution/logistics systems. This role also includes managing the interfaces and dependences between sales orders, delivery and planning to the warehouse systems and processes. Includes cross-functional review and fit/gap assessment of all requirements, ensuring alignment of solutions across all relevant Business process areas 
  • Level 2 SAP (CONA) application support relating to Warehouse and Distribution applications. Respond and resolve business tickets in a timely manner or partner with Coke One North America (CONA) support services to escalate tickets to level 3 support as required
  • Provide Level 2 non-CONA application support relating to Warehouse and Distribution apps. Respond and resolve business tickets in a timely manner or partner with Arca Continental IT team, and/or third-party software provider to escalate and resolve issues
  • Test and manage CONA releases related to Warehouse and Distribution to include raising defects, tracking progress in testing and ensuring Business Continuity
  • Ensure performance and the reliability of the Warehouse and Distribution capabilities delivered by the CONA SAP platform
  • Advise on CONA SAP security through user profile management, and create and update access permissions and maintain user accounts as necessary
  • Partner with CONA Team in defining user requirements, prepare detail specifications, coordinating system-wide testing updates on CONA SAP new releases.
  • Provide recommendation for enhancements/changes that may involve custom design, optional and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Warehouse & Distribution systems. 
  • Consult with users on technology changes that will impact work processes.
  • Manage all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, taking projects from original concept through to final implementation in compliance with the AC Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Lead Process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical challenges and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. Identify project impacts on Business Process Models (ARIS) and the IT technology roadmap.
  • Design solutions that ensure the most sustainable, flexible and cost appropriate solutions & technology platforms
  • Ensure documentation, deliverables, and governance follows standard project management and architecture governance processes.
  • Anticipates obstacles and objectives and proactively develops mitigation options to solve problems, while effectively managing conflict and risk.
  • Develops productive working relationships with Business client area and other Business and IT cross-functional teams
  • Drives results, effectively collaborates with, influences and motivates others and works across all areas of the Company as necessary.
     

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related business process area required
  • Related Masters’ degree preferred    
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience designing, configuring and supporting SAP ECC MM, IM, WM and SD modules.
  • Experience in LE-Shipping (Delivery processing, Picking, Packing, Goods Issue posting)
  • Experience supporting Voice Picking Systems
  • Experience supporting DSD Route Planning Systems

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting Labeling Systems
