General Purpose

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for influencing, deploying, and sustaining differentiating technology solutions and services that generate significant value for The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) Commercial and Sales Operations functions through competitive advantage and business process efficiencies.
This role will require shaping the vision and strategy for the leveraged use of technology, and the executive communication skills to partner with and influence business leaders in line with the defined vision. Effective partnership and influencing with the Coke One North America (CONA) organization will be necessary to ensure that CCSWB’s technology solution requirements are considered and prioritized alongside the other North America Coca-Cola bottling entities serviced by CONA. Effective collaboration with Arca Continental's Corporate IT function is also required to ensure alignment to corporate IT standards, and to maximize synergy opportunities for CCSWB’s and Arca Continental’s technology solutions.
This role will closely engage and partner with CCSWB executive and senior leadership to enable the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology by ensuring comprehensive IT strategy planning, solution discovery, design, build and deployment, support management, risk management, and effective relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure IT solutions support the organization’s short-term and long-term business goals and strategy and align with IT strategy and standards.
  • Lead a team of Senior IT professionals to translate complex business requirements to provide recommendations for solution enhancements, including recommendations that may involve custom design and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Customer & Commercial technology solution capabilities.
  • Execute all aspects of solution strategy and delivery to include process definition and standardization, architectural compliance, software package selection, business requirements definition and sign-off, solution design and build, and comprehensive testing to ensure delivery on-time and within budget following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Deliver solutions that ensure the most sustainable, flexible, and cost appropriate solutions and technology platforms.
  • Proactively communicate technology decisions, priorities, and relevant project and initiative information to appropriate organization levels whilst guiding business case development and measurement of value realization.
  • Identify and share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
  • Ensure stakeholder’s expectations are clearly defined and identify and resolve disconnects through negotiation or governance mechanisms.
  • Partner with senior leaders to influence direction of technology solutions and balance challenging trade-offs between scope, time, and budget for solution delivery.
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing software applications (CONA and Non-CONA) by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Closely partner with other CCSWB IT functions and with Arca Continental's corporate IT organization to ensure compliance with project delivery standards.
  • Proactively mitigate any potential barriers and conflicts with IT delivery and present pragmatic options to ensure that there is no adverse impact to the Business.
  • Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and identify and provide support for potential delivery and change impacts on end-user business processes and priorities.
  • Facilitate the establishment of standards and best practices to include the cross-functional review and fit/gap assessment of all requirements, ensuring alignment with system architecture principles.
  • Approve all IT Front Office business requirements prior to technical solution design and build.
  • Identify new solution impacts on existing Business Process Models and identify necessary change management actions to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Provide IT solution guidance and leadership to business partners and stakeholders for resolving business challenges and problems to improve business process and end-user experience.
  • Align with other CCSWB IT leaders and their team’s workload and priorities to effectively manage competing priorities within the CCSWB IT organization.
  • Stay current with and analyze technology trends to determine impact to the achievement of company goals.


  • 10+ years of experience working with SAP and/or non-SAP solutions, including integration and development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. M.B.A. or related master’s degree is preferred
  • A proven track record of high performance in delivering differentiating IT solutions in the areas of Commercial and Sales Operations
  • Expertise in technology implementation, planning and complex system integration, with experience in communicating strategy to business leadership
  • Ability to balance high customer focus and service attitude with both tactical and strategic long-term plans
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
