IT Analyst - Local Network Analyst

General Purpose

This role has the responsibility to manage IT requirements associated with Local Area Network and Voice Services. This includes cross-functional review and fit/gap assessment of all requirements, ensuring alignment of architecture solutions across all process/domain areas, and liaise with the central Arca Continental team. The IT Analyst will also advise on business projects with connectivity requirements that need to be established to ensure CCSWB capabilities are available, functional and be approved by the AC Central Network and Architecture teams.

The incumbent must have the ability to manage multiple process and solutions development initiatives within their functional/technical area(s).
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Anticipates obstacles and objectives and proactively develops options to solve problems, while effectively managing conflict and risk.
  • Establishes and manages the networking environment by coordinating new business requirements, designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. 
  • Partner with AC-IT infrastructure team and CCSWB IT leadership to prioritize and manage new projects
  • Develops productive working relationships with client area, cross-functional teams and/or groups.
  • Coordinate with AC-IT Operations, and AC Architecture standards, modifications, and enhancements to CCSWB network infrastructure and services
  • Ensure the performance and the reliability of CCSWB Local and Wide Area Network
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements/changes that may involve custom design, optional and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CCSWB Network infrastructure
  • Create strategies to improve the efficiency of the networks and making cost-cutting recommendations to management.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical assistance to end-users when required
  • Provide level 3 ticket resolution and coordinate and monitor Network Infrastructure for level 3 tickets for all Local Area Network and Voice services for CCSWB Employees. Respond and resolve business tickets in a timely manner, partnering with CONA and AC Central teams to escalate and deliver a solution
  • Coordinate and manage third party vendors to ensure end user support and new projects implementations are provided with minimal impact to the business and the project timeline
  • Consult users on technology changes that will impact work processes 
  • Manage all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, takes projects from original concept through final implementation in compliance with the AC SDLC methodology.
  • Process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
  • Design solutions that ensure most sustainable, flexible and cost appropriate solutions & technology platforms.
  • Ensure documentation, deliverables, and governance follows standard architecture management process and delivers expected results.
  • Drives results, effectively collaborates with and influences others and works across all areas of the Company as necessary.
  • Manage third party vendors and consultants to maintain CCSWB Network infrastructure and to ensure Standard Operation Procedures are in place and their effectiveness are validated
  • Analyze, advise, and test CONA releases related to network connectivity, raising defects, tracking progress and ensure business continuity
  • Manage all aspects of the design and implementation of network standards, policies and procedures to ensure CCSWB operation
  • Consult with users on technology changes that will impact network connectivity.
     

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • B.S. or B.A. in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related business process area required
  • Related Masters’ degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Network Administration role
  • 3 years’ experience with IT Operations Management
  • 3 years’ experience in an IT Support Role
