Group Director - HR People Services

General Purpose

The Group Director Human Resources participates in major business decisions to maximize the value of human resources. This role helps shape the success of CCSWB by developing tracking the progress of key People Strategies against planned objectives, and strongly influencing key operational decisions to achieve business success. Working closely with the VP of Human Resources on Human Capital matters, the Group Director Human Resources:

  • Provides leadership and facilitation in the resolution of highly strategic and sensitive issues or projects
  • Leads teams to gather data, research and consolidate issues; summarizes information and makes recommendations with relevant stakeholders
  • Represents - routinely and proactively - CCSWB positions in meetings, committees and in developing interrelated functional projects and communication plans
  • Oversees some functional areas of Human Resources

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides Human Resources leadership in HR operational areas including the following: 

  • Ensure a strong HR Processes team is in place to support Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations & Employement Practices, HR Analytics and some Human Resources Operations. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that a strong Benefit function is in place that will develop and execute all Benefits Plans, to include Health & Welfare and 401(k), are competitive with the market.  Define the five-year strategy, determine appropriate offerings, contract with vendors, and administer plans. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that a strong Compensation function is in place that will develop and execute all Compensation plans, to include Executive, Leadership, and Frontline non-exempt, are competitive with the market.  Define rewards strategy, determine appropriate mix of at risk incentives and base compensation, contract with vendors as needed, and administer plans. 
  • Ensure that a strong Employee Relations & Employment Practices function is in place.  Develop and execute a robust Employee Relations / Security strategy to include managing individual events, advising and training leaders as well as extracting data, drawing insights, and developing recommendations for leadership.
  • Identify and expand on key people metrics, providing expertise in the interpretation and implications of the collected data.
  • Manage Human Resources Operations through influence with the internal HR Team and direct relationship with the external client service organization.  Ensure effective Payroll, Employee Contact Center, and Benefit Support teams are in place within the client services organization. 
  • Represents CCSWB on bottler committees/work groups. 
  • Functions as a business ambassador demonstrating confidence, business acumen, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills to represent the CCSWB in critical business dealings. 
  • Collaborates, leads and influences issues that impact the financial organization 
  • Maintains strong relationships with CCNA and affiliated bottlers 
  • Influences major investments, contracts, and other Human Resources decisions to improve cash flows and reduce costs. 
  • Provides strategic leadership for Human Resources planning using business insight and operational understanding. 

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Human Resources or Management required
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in Human Resources management, preferably in a CPG setting.
  • Minimum six (6) years of significant experience in various Human Resources areas including Employee/Labor Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and Strategic Human Capital Planning
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex organizational initiatives and change efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to monitoring status of plans including regulatory, and any internal policy requirements.
  • Superior communication, consulting, facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, problem resolution, and consensus building skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal presentation and listening skills, and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven ability to provide professional/technical guidance to stakeholders.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of data processing and the application of data processing to various Human Resources systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic/operations analysis and planning, analytical techniques, and labor market assessments.
