Sr. Finance Analyst - Inventory

General Purpose

Responsible for providing advanced analytical support to the Field Financial Services leadership and the Operating Unit Finance Leadership Team
•    Operating Unit Finance HQ support on rolling estimate and monthly financial results for BD&L and Inventory variances.
•    Monitor and communicate adherence to financial controls and consistent execution of standard business processes within CCSWB including SOX requirements.
•    Accountable for management of process orders for month-end close and working with all the warehouse and production center personnel to train and execute the process correctly.
•    Serve as Finance liaison between HQ, Production Centers, Warehouse, and Internal Controls regarding BD&L and Inventory controls.
•    Partner with Continuous Improvement and PSS Operations functional leaders on initiatives to drive efficiencies and inventory management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and communicate adherence to internal controls and consistent execution of standard business processes including SOX requirements.
  • Identify risk and opportunities in financial forecast and develop gap solve scenarios for operating expenses.
  • Analyze and determine which areas pose great financial risk and partner with the business to develop action plans.
  • Management of monthly close process and communicating performance results with Finance leadership.
  • Collaborate with SSC, HQ Finance team, and Market Unit Finance team around month end close, quarter-end, year-end close and other inventory and BD&L related activities which includes management of product Out-of-stock reporting on a weekly and monthly basis. 
  • Collaborate with all team members of HQ, MUs and other functional leads in development of Annual Business Plan for identified and unidentified BD&L
  • Work with Warehouse and Manufacturing management on researching and resolving inventory variances, identify inventory risks and process improvements for month-end close cycle.
  • Prepare and publish Weekly Inventory Status reporting, work with production centers on open items and assist with resolving issues related to:
  • Open STOs/Interbranch Transfers
  • Open Purchase Orders
  • Unreconciled Loads
  • Batch Errors
  • Stock Status of Return Issues (Ex. Deficits, SV Errors)
  • Enhanced BD&L Reporting Package

Qualifications


•    BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience
•    MBA/CPA Preferred

•    Five to ten years of related business experience
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
•    Proven people leadership skills 
•    Preferred soft drink industry or consumer packaged goods experience
•    Preferred 3 plus years of experience in business planning and analysis, along with Inventory management
•    Preferred experience in preparing financial information for use by non-financial managers
