Engineering Director

General Purpose

This position supports all engineering activities within CCSWB.  The role will lead a team of 7-9 engineers in the completion of ~$100MM in capital projects.   The role will also be responsible for communication and collaboration with leadership within the region, supporting all facilities.  In addition to capital and executional requirements, the role will be responsible for improving the reliability of the manufacturing operations through data driven analytics and identifying/developing technical solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective capital program management, which is essential to the security and quality of product supply and the generation of value through effective investment. 
  • Lead the project team to successful conclusion of a major capital project.
  • Success being measured by budget and schedule as well as performance of the investment as a whole in meeting the Company’s requirements and objectives. 
  • Mentoring and motivating team to maximize effectiveness. 
  • Training and technical knowledge management; collection and distribution of best practices and learnings from within the Company and externally as appropriate.  
  • Drive improvements in equipment capability, asset utilization, environmental performance, safety and loss prevention for the Company as a whole.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.  
  • MS Degree highly preferred.

Strong interface with quality, environment, risk management and legal departments at corporate level. Deal with contractors and suppliers at senior level; up to President as necessary.
  • This position can be located anywhere in Texas 
  • Travel requirements:  As needed (60%)
