Compensation Analyst

General Purpose

The Compensation Analyst will report to the Compensation Manager and assist in the analysis, design, and administration of our current compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance and recognition programs.  This role will also assist in evaluating positions, determining pay grades, participating in salary surveys, and performing various ad-hoc related requests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Sales and Supply Chain quarterly / annual discretionary incentive programs.
  • Provide support in the administration of the annual merit and short term incentive (STI) programs.
  • Provide support in the rewards and recognition program for all internal departments.
  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Conducts focus groups to collect employee feedback on specific issues or topics related to benefits and compensation.
  • Ensures that the company adheres to all federal and state laws, including reporting requirements.
  • Perform various payroll, data and wage related audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two plus years of experience as a compensation analyst required.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of compensation terminology, resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
  • Proficient with compensation research and data analysis.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
