General Purpose

The Commercial Finance Specialist is responsible for Managing the General Ledger Closing process for AR, Contracts and Direct Marketing Expense (DME) adhering to Internal Controls. Adhere to ARCA’s Cultural Principles. Provide reporting for AR, Contracts, Transshipment and DME. Accountable for reviewing and providing guidance to sales leaders in CCSWB while providing local/FSOP outlet A/R support, researching seriously past due accounts, and coordinating meetings with BSNA. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Month, Quarter and year end close Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the closing process related to AR, Contracts and DME
  • Collaborate with SSC, HQ Finance team, and Market Unit Finance team around month end close, quarter-end, year-end close and other activities
  • Prepare and review Journal entries
  • Prepare and Review Balance Sheet reconciliations

Financial subject matter expert duties

Contracts

  • EA Reviews, 
  • Dashboard and Contracts Reporting
  • Contract Payment management
  • Contract database administration

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage reporting for NSF, Sales Center Chargebacks, Dunning Log, Status Change Log, Kroger Weekly report and Deduction reporting
  • Resolve and respond to internal AR mailbox inquiries 
  • Routinely identify seriously past due local/FSOP accounts with no current sales, identify if account has equipment, and follow up with local teams and BSNA
  • Facilitate meetings BSNA, MUFM, and local/FSOP teams to understand seriously past due issues and provide recommendations

Direct Marketing Expense

  • Manage reporting 
  • Provide guidance to Commercial Team
  • Identify issues and provide resolution/recommendations

Transshipping

  • Manage reporting
  • Manage external transshipment programs
  • Promote and cultivate ARCA’s Cultural Principles

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to Five of related business experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Preferred soft drink industry or consumer packaged goods experience
  • Preferred experience in preparing financial information for use by non-financial managers
