About This Opportunity
The Finance Specialist will support the Finance Director/Managers in providing financial stewardship for the customer accounts in the retail channel and has the opportunity to work with the sales teams as well as other cross-functional business teams in managing all aspects of customer financial analysis, including trade spend control, annual customer planning / budgeting / forecasting, trade board submissions and customer profitability analysis.
Responsibilities
• Conduct regular analysis on actual volume, rate, mix and gross profit vs business plan and forecast.
• Create and update reports to monitor pricing and revenue performance against business plan. Proactively highlight pricing issue and work with Pricing team to address.
• Coordinating contents for monthly customer performance review with Sales and other cross-functional teams including RGM, Commercial Executions, Customer Solution and Finance.
• Support developing customer P&L and profitability analysis.
• Partner with RGM to ensure pricing and trade spend are executed within guardrails and guidelines.
• Work with sales and RGM team to develop annual customer revenue plan supported by program summary outlining depth and frequency of promotional activities with each customer.
• Review pricing and CMA submissions against business plan. Submit request to trade board for incremental customer investment opportunities and conduct financial analysis to ensure investment yield desired ROI.
• Provide accurate revenue rate projections by customer for financial Rolling Estimate (RE).
• Partner with Pricing and CMA team to ensure customer pricing/CMA requests are submitted with sufficient documentation for audit purposes and address any pricing discrepancy on a timely basis.
• Provide support on financial elements in customer presentations.
• Tracking of brand partner funding on all customer agreements and initiatives. Ensuring billing is kept up to date.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required
• 3+ years related work experience
• Detail oriented and be able to identify issues and off-trend performance using standard reports and tools.
• Strong collaboration skills required to work with key stakeholders across different functions.
• Commitment to ensuring integrity in financial results and adherence to ethical business practices.
• Communicate effectively with both written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management skills required to ensure critical timelines are met with a sense of urgency
• Ability to multi-task and re-organize in response to changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Actively pursuing MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent designation is an asset
