About This Opportunity

In this role, you will provide strategic and financial support on customer accounts in the retail channel. You will also be the business partner with one or more Sales Directors and their teams, as well as other cross-functional business teams, in managing all aspects of customer financial analysis. This includes trade spend control, annual customer planning/budgeting/forecasting, trade board submissions and customer profitability analysis.    

Responsibilities

•    Provide both quantitative and qualitative business insights and assist in decision-making for customer accounts.
•    Conduct regular analysis on forecast vs. actual volume, rate, mix and gross profit
•    Create customer P&L and profitability analysis. 
•    Report on customer performance in order to monitor financial performance and highlight key variances to business plan/forecast with associated risks and opportunities.  
•    Ensure pricing and trade spend are executed within guardrails and guidelines.
•    Conduct strategic analysis of pricing and trade spend classification.
•    Develop annual customer revenue plan, outlining depth and frequency of promotional activities with each customer.
•    Provide financial support in Collaborative Business Planning (CBP) with customers to drive topline growth while achieving internal profit goals.
•    Review pricing and Customer Marketing Agreement (CMA) submissions against business plan. Support with requests to trade board for incremental customer investment opportunities and conduct financial analysis to ensure investment yields desired ROI. 
•    Provide accurate revenue rate projections by customer for financial Rolling Estimate (RE).
 

Qualifications

•    5+ years related work experience
•    Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting
•    Demonstrated ability to provide strong business partnerships by providing financial insights, opportunity identification and recommendations
•    Demonstrated ability to ensure integrity in financial results and adherence to ethical business practices
•    Demonstrated ability to leverage available key data to derive recommended solutions with associated risk mitigation plans
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with exceptional written and verbal communication skills required to explain financial performance through storytelling. 
•    MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent is an asset
