About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations, the Production Manager is a key role for Coke Canada plants across the country. They will be responsible for the management of a Plant in order to meet production schedules, quality metrics, and cost objectives. They will coach and manage a team of production supervisors and lead the activities in the areas of assembly operation, machinery operation, processing or treating operation, or packaging. They will be responsible for the management of the production department to ensure the efficient production of highest quality product at the lowest cost, to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance, champion customer relations, and manage personnel for major programs and projects 
  • Plan and administer procedures, production and quality control standards in designated area 
  • Develop workforce through supervision, coaching, and training.
  • Manage labour and materials to the production schedule.
  • Ensure all plans and strategies are effectively communicated throughout the department.
  • Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) daily and provide recommendations to solve any quality, safety and production issues.
  • Develop and continuously analyze budget versus planned forecast and report monthly or as needed.
  • Review, alter, and approve all departmental scheduling issues.
  • Assist in the selection of prospective new hire employees
  • Ensure all facility equipment is maintained up to company standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related field completed.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of increasing levels of supervisory roles of people & processes. 
  • Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management.
  • Working knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of national, provincial, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, environment and emergency management.
  • Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier.
